Sept. 21 - International Day of Peace The Catholic Nonviolence Initiative, a project of Pax Christi International, invites us to celebrate the first ever Catholic Nonviolence Days of Action, beginning September 21 on the International Day of Peace and ending October 2 on the International Day of Nonviolence. This celebration is a time for reflection and education about the importance of nonviolence and its roots in Catholic teaching and for taking action to promote nonviolence and just peace.

Mark your calendar for the Nuns on the Bus Kick Off Rally: Wed.,Sept. 23 at 10:00 Who We Elect Matters now more than ever, and the bus tour will highlight the most pressing issues in our nation, elevate the lived experiences of those facing the greatest challenges, and prepare participants to vote for the common good. The bus is "zooming" into 16 different states:

Election Reflections from LCWR As the 2020 national election becomes more intense these next several weeks LCWR’s practice of contemplative dialogue, deep listening, and mutual respect are prophetic actions that we can engage in. They have created an 8 week long experience, “A More Perfect Union: 2020 Election Reflections.” Week 1’s reflection, “Out of Many One” is now available. Succeeding week’s will be available each Tuesday on our webpage.
On September 22nd, Manhattan College is hosting a Shoe Strike for Climate Justice as part of the Season of Creation and Climate Week NYC. Sr. Mary Ann Jacobs and her students will participate in the event to raise awareness of the seriousness of climate change and its impact on our common home and future generations.
