Catholic community, we can no longer sit on the sidelines as we see how our immigrant community is being attacked. Together, we have a strong voice and this is the time to use it! In partnership with the LatinxCatholic Leadership Coalition, we are demanding that the White House and Department of Homeland Security recognize the dignity and rights of all immigrants.

Hello, my name is (insert name) from (Location: City, State, Zip Code). As a person of faith (and a Catholic sister), I am calling DHS Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan to demand humane changes on immigration policies. As Catholic leaders we are asking the Administration and the Department of Homeland Security to honor the dignity and rights of all immigrants and to: recognize the internationally recognized legal right to seek asylum, to stop the remain in Mexico program and the use of the "metering list", to make Due Process the standard NOT the exception, to collaborate with NGOs and local communities to support and expand humane services for asylum seekers, to provide additional funding for immigration courts and asylum officers and to grant Latinx Catholic Leadership Coalition a face-to-face meeting with Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan. Thank you for your time and concern for our immigrant families.

S O S -- CAN YOU HELP?
BABY DIAPERS NEEDED FOR IMMIGRANT FAMILIES
As you read in the September 30 relay, the Passaic Neighborhood Center for Women is in need of diapers and wipes for its diaper bank. In response to this request, we are asking each local community to bring a pack of diapers (preferably size 5 or 6) or baby wipes to the October assembly. A box will be provided in the entrance for this donation. If your local community prefers to make a monetary donation rather than purchasing and transporting diapers, please give this donation directly to Sr. Ann Marie Paul. Thank you for your support of this social justice initiative that directly impacts the lives of immigrant families.
