Immigration Justice - Taking a Stand For Our Migrant Sisters and Brothers On June 15, the administration announced a new set of proposed rules that further restrict access to asylum, especially for refugees from Central America. These changes would effectively “abolish asylum as we know it in the United States.” How do we turn away those whose lives are in danger because of conditions in their homelands? How do we turn a blind eye to victims of crime who seek a safe place to live for themselves and their families? How do we close our doors to those who suffer at the hands of exploiters, murderers and rapists? Use your voice to make a public statement on these proposed inhumane rules.
Public comments are being accepted until July 15. Action: Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to submit a comment on these proposed rules. (Maryknoll Office of Global Concerns)

Here is a July calendar with daily reflections and simple actions shared by the Sisters of Mercy to help us become more aware of the
sacred gift of water. You can click on the blue and print it out as
one 11- x 17-inch calendar or as
two 8.5- x 11-inch pages that together create the full calendar. Here are a few reflection questions to ponder and discuss with a small group.
Do I recognize water as a gift? How conscious am I of my consumption of water and / or waste of water? What am I doing to conserve water? What am I doing to confront the privatization of water?
“Praised be You my Lord through Sister water, So useful, humble, precious and pure.” (Canticle of the Sun)
Reflection Question: How do climate justice, racial justice and environmental justice intersect?
