We acknowledge a divine call to develop the consciousness of our own dignity and giftedness as women. We want to be sensitive and responsive to those situations in which the dignity of all women or any woman is violated. We will be open to finding concrete ways of being of assistance.
Creation is a love-act of God, His Self-Gift. God created this vast universe to share His Presence with us. The gift of God is placed in our hands. As women responsible for life, we are aware of the sacredness of the earth. We will strive for the wholeness created by right relationships with God, oneself, other persons, other cultures, and the Earth. In the living out of our Eucharistic lifestyle, we will be considerate of the sacredness of the earth in our way of thinking, acting, and being.
Recognizing that all religions sincerely search for God and the common good, we desire to both give and receive life-giving truths. We embrace this dialogue as part of our mission.
Having heard the cries of a “world plagued by destructive and broken relationships,” we embrace “the challenge to foster communion among all peoples and cultures” (Art. 31). Our active love of neighbor urges us to be aware of the problems of immigration and emigration and to do what love requires at the local, national, and international levels.
The laity has been vitally involved in the life and mission of our congregation from its very beginning. We seek new ways to incorporate our Associates into our life and mission. Our Constitutions challenge us “to work with Christ in building up the kingdom” (Art. 33). We affirm that each member of the Church shares in the priestly, prophetic, and kingly office of Christ.
